In 1939 Miss Joyce Grenfell created a delightful parody of children at play. She took the part of a kindly but harrassed Kindergarten Teacher, who talked to her imaginary class of tiny tots. “George, Don’t do that” became a series, a book, and eventually a solid part of her television career. This original piece was inspired by Miss Grenfell.
